Factors Constraining the Role of Personal Secretaries in Selected Public Organizations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

This study dealt with factors constraining the role of personal secretaries in selected public organizations Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The used qualitative approach through case design. A sample 30 participants was adopted including 10 from College Business Education, six Salaam Institute Technology, Medical Store Department and eight Tanzania Buildings Agency. researchers in-depth interviews documentary reviews as sources data. interview lasted between 15 minutes to capture opinions, beliefs attitudes about constraints that faced executing their daily operations. analysis involved content approach. concludes numerous challenges, which constrain job. Such challenges include communication constraints, records documentation, customer related guidance counselling face administrative secretaries. These hindered them perform duties better, hence leading negative image organizations. Based on conclusions, employers need set a portion budget offices for attend both on-the-job off-the-job training refresh soft skills emerging technologies. Administrators motivate respect work by providing good office spaces modern equipment. They also capacities conducting regular seminars workshops, will sharpen performance bring glory respective institutions.
